Neuro
Biomed Inc. plans to develop new treatments for a
broad range of acute and chronic conditions
associated with neurological diseases including
the development of new neuroprotective and
neurogenesis pharmaceuticals. Principal elements of
the Company's research strategy include the following:
|
-
Target large markets with unmet medical
needs. Neuro Biomed targets large
pharmaceutical markets that are not
adequately served by existing therapies. The
Company has initially focused on
neurological disorders because of the substantial unmet
market needs and the brain's high level of
vulnerability to stress agents.
-
Focus
on our areas of technical expertise in developing novel
neurogenesis in combination of advanced
drug delivery system that can administer the
optimal dose of potent drug to the targeted
areas in the central nervous system.
-
Retain commercial rights to product
candidates. The Company will seek to
retain significant commercial rights to its
product candidates by conducting clinical
development activities at least through
initial proof of efficacy in humans. For
larger and more complex clinical trials, and
for worldwide marketing and distribution,
Neuro Biomed intends to seek strategic
collaborations with large pharmaceutical
companies.
-
Protect proprietary position with broad
patent coverage. Neuro Biomed has built
a strong domestic and international patent
position protecting its rich compound and
intellectual property estate. The Company
understands that its commercial success
depends on its ability to obtain patent
protection on its products and product
candidates.
